Long Lunch Club with Casa Lawa
This August, Rondo welcomes CASA LAWA for a series of long summer lunches inspired by the holidays we never want to end.
We’re bringing a slice of CASA LAWA’s technicolour dreamworld to Hox Holborn from the foothills of Mount Etna with our Long Lunch Club; a series of Saturday summer lunches with a distinctly Sicilian feel and CASA LAWA’s laidback, nostalgic charm.
With a menu full to the brim with the bright, sun-soaked flavours of Sicily, each course is paired with perfectly crafted Monkey Shoulder cocktails inspired by the flavours of southern Italy.
The long lunch begins with rosemary sea salt focaccia served with whipped butter and Sicilian arancini filled with green olive and provolone, accompanied by plum ketchup. Starters of heirloom tomatoes with salted anchovy, Barba di Frati, olive oil and fresh basil are served alongside stone bass crudo with pickled nectarine, pickled red chilli and mint. Mains include lemon and oregano Sutton Hoo chicken with peppers agrodolce, and Pasta alla Norma with ricotta and rosemary oil, accompanied by honey and chilli roasted young potatoes and a green salad with foraged wild herbs and flowers. Prickly pear granita with lemon verbena Chantilly gelato, finished with olive oil and sea salt, and tiramisu with Kentish cherries provide a fitting finale.
Accompanied by CASA LAWA’s own soundtrack, there’s no need to rush off. With just one sitting each afternoon, you can settle in, order another round of cocktails and savour the afternoon at your leisure.
Tables are available for groups of 4–8. Solo diners, couples and trios are welcomed at The Long Table, a shared dining experience at the heart of the restaurant for the full CASA LAWA experience.
P.S. CASA LAWA also brings its Mortadella Beach Sarnie to the lobby 1 – 31 August as part of the Hox sarnie series. Served on toasted focaccia with mortadella, stracciatella, fresh peaches, garden pesto, chilli oil, lemon zest and sea salt. Perfectly paired with a Monkey Shoulder Peach Collins.
