Don't be fooled by the façade of an old-fashioned barbershop on the corner of Queen Street. It leads to a hidden stairway and a secret door concealed within an old bookcase. Behind lies one of Edinburgh’s best-kept secrets: A 1920s, prohibition-style cocktail bar with fun décor and nods to a vintage barbershop theme. Check it out

Bard is a shop and gallery in Leith, Edinburgh, founded by Hugo Macdonald and James Stevens. It celebrates Scottish craft and design, showcasing everything from art to furniture, textiles to ceramics. With over 60 makers and studios involved, Bard brings Scottish culture and craftsmanship to life, mixing tradition and modernity. Water of Leith Walkway

A beautiful, leafy riverwalk that takes you away from the hustle of Edinburgh city centre, along a route that meanders between local spots such as Colinton Dell, the Union Canal, Saughton Winter Gardens and the Royal Botanic Garden.You can tackle various stretches along the 13-mile walkway, but we’d suggest heading to The Shore on the waterfront of Leith; an area packed with restaurants, seafood spots, wine bars & breweries.
