The Mayor Room
The Mayor Room doesn’t do subtle. Once Amsterdam mayor’s bedroom, it’s all big proportions here. Stacked with original 17th-century details including ornamental ceilings with gold details, structured wallpaper, herringbone wooden floors and a centrepiece fireplace. Sliding doors lead towards the double-shower bathroom, while a hidden door in the wall reveals a second bathroom. Spacious, storied, and a bit indulgent - this room is a true classic in which you'll feel well at home. And maybe feel a bit like a mayor, too.

Once part of the Amsterdam mayor's home, this room has got serious space, the tallest ceilings in the building, and views that bring Amsterdam right to your window. Biggy Terrace
Our Biggy Terrace room is one of our standouts - big on space, big on character, and the only one with its own private inner-courtyard terrace. Morning coffee outside? Absolutely - straight from your own Sjöstrand coffee machine. There’s plenty of room to spread out, with a relaxed living area and space available for even the most overpacked suitcase. A tiled artwork of the hotel’s façade adds a playful nod to the iconic building itself. Keen to host your friends to an after-dinner drink? Possible here. This room is a special one, and it knows it.
Roomy Bath
Sitting cosy beneath the peak of a 17th-century canal house, our Roomy Bath is a one-of-a-kind loft that combines heritage with elevated comfort. Reached via a private staircase, this top-floor hideaway showcases original beams and characterful architectural details. Our only room to feature a free-standing bath, it’s designed for indulgent stays with that hint of romance. High ceilings create an airy feel, though the historic low beams add a playful reminder of its past - perhaps one best suited to guests who don’t mind a little ducking.
