Shelter From The Storm
Based in Holloway, Shelter From The Storm is a volunteer-run night shelter supporting London’s homeless with a cosy bed, clean clothing, free counselling and more. Their mission? ‘A vision of society where charities like ours are no longer necessary.’

In Paris alone, 4,000 people sleep rough every night. Aurore aims to be a safe haven for the homeless in the French capital – including a vital women’s only refuge – offering them a hot meal, medical treatment and the practical tools to help them leave the streets for good.

A haven for those with nowhere to sleep in Rome, Binario 95 runs two housing projects, Casa 95 and Casa Sabotino. As well as putting a roof over people’s heads, the organisation helps them to look for more permanent solutions such as finding a job.

For over 30 years, the "Gruft" has been Vienna's best-known Caritas facility for homeless people. It offers people on the street a safe haven and human warmth. 365 days a year. Around the clock! Those affected receive a warm meal, a place to sleep, clean clothes and the opportunity to shower in the Gruft. The Gruft team supports homeless people in getting back on their feet in society.

Since 1989, Amsterdam’s Het Stoelenproject has offered shelter and food to 50 homeless people every night. Accepting those with or without regional ties, they have become known as the most accessible shelter in the city.
DonateL’Îlot Brussels
L’Îlot is a temporary Brussels crisis centre for families in financial difficulty, victims of abuse, asylum seekers and those who struggle with addiction. It forms part of the global movement Serve the City, which joins forces with homeless shelters and other associations for community events involving sports, music, meals and friendship.

Arrels Fundació has been providing homeless and vulnerable people living in Barcelona with housing support for almost 40 years. Its open centre offers washing facilities, medical and advocacy services, as well as a space to foster listening and trust for those who are often unheard.

Part of the Berlin City Mission, Refugio Berlin is open to anyone seeking refuge. The unique project is founded on the idea of living, working and sharing together, via considerate and community-led shared accommodation. As well as a residential quarter, Refugio Berlin’s house in the city’s Neukölln district also features commercial tenants and an events space to support those in need.

Coalition for the Homeless is unique in providing both frontline services and groundbreaking legal support to those living homeless in New York City. Its victories include securing medically appropriate housing for people with HIV/AIDS, and ensuring the right to vote for Americans without homes.

The largest provider of shelter and services for families and children in Chicago, Primo Center does important work to help the most vulnerable. Its aim? To create an uplifting environment for all ages, including catered holiday celebrations to provide happy moments for all.

Blanchet House provides pathways out of homelessness and hunger. Approximately 200 people a year find support to secure permanent housing, sobriety, and employment after participating through its supportive housing programs. Thousands more find warmth, nourishment, and community through its free meal program.

Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission helps individuals and families regain self-sufficiency through emergency services, family care and housing, recovery support, job training, and education. Focused on overcoming homelessness, the organization offers the structure, support, and accountability necessary to help individuals build healthier, more productive lives.
