Sip wine and dive into thoughtful discussions with Ladies Who Lit – an experiential book club celebrating writing by women, open to all.

This month, we’re Double Bound – the theme? Banned books. The club has a choice to read one or both (for your ambitious bunch) banned book titles in partnership with Penguin Random House Ambassador, Simone Siew:

The Awakening by Kate Chopin – a feminist literary landmark: the daring story of a woman’s search for personal freedom that was so controversial in 1899 that it ended its author’s career.

Last Night at the Telepgraph Club by Malinda Lo – from acclaimed author Malinda Lo comes a gripping, tender coming-of-age novel exploring identity, queerness, and historical upheaval set in San Francisco’s Chinatown during the 1950s.

Lucky us, Penguin Random House is graciously gifting 100 copies of banned books.
