We roll out the welcome mat for paws and pets. Whether your pup’s a city explorer or a sofa snoozer, they’ll be right at home at The Hoxton Amsterdam. No extra fees, no awkward rules – just cosy stays, walk-friendly neighbourhoods, and a few cheeky treats for your four-legged travel buddy.
We accept one dog per room, up to 40 lb in weight for no extra fee (unless they’re a rockstar and trash the room, of course). Sniff out all the deets for our pet-friendly rooms below.

Planning your pet-friendly route in Amsterdam
Travelling with a dog in Amsterdam? No problem. Here are some local tips to keep your journey smooth and sniff-approved:
Public Transport – Dogs are welcome on Amsterdam’s trams, buses, and metros. Small pups ride free in a carrier; larger dogs need a dog day ticket (hondendagkaart). Just keep them on a lead and off the seats.
Taxis & Rideshares – Most local taxis are dog-friendly, but it’s always polite to ask first. Rideshare options like Uber also allow pets, especially if you choose Uber Pet or message your driver in advance.
On Foot – Both of our Hoxton hotels — on the Herengracht and in Lloyd — are located in walkable neighbourhoods with easy access to parks, dog-friendly cafés, and scenic canal strolls. Perfect for walkies after a long day’s travel!
Parks & Green Spaces – From Vondelpark to Flevopark, Amsterdam is dotted with places your pup will love to roam. Off-lead areas are common, and water-loving dogs can often take a dip too.
