Our Neighbourhood
Here in Barcelona, we’re proud to call El Poblenou our home. Once upon a time a thriving industrial centre, factories and mills wove this neighbourhood into the fabric of the city, then over the years, artists and designers moved in, setting up camp in the factories and warehouses. Later, concept stores, art schools, coffee spots and galleries followed, putting Poblenou firmly on the map as the creative district it is today.
Bravas
For some of the best local tapas, head to Local 225 or Barriteca, two neighbourhood faves who both claim to serve *the* best patatas bravas in town. It's a tough call but we'll let you decide who wins...
Local stores
Poblenou is celebrated for its local artisans and creatives. Visit Noak Room for its paired back Scandi furniture, Unusual Concept Store for local souvenirs and gifts, and Espai Joliu, a coffee-come-plant-come-magazine-store — you won't leave empty handed.
Specialty Coffee
Poblenou locals love their coffee, so much so that the neighbourhood has developed a bit of a reputation among aficionados. Local faves are Three Marks Coffee, Nomad Fruitas Selectas and Hidden Coffee.
Brunch time
Here in the neighbourhood there's no shortage of great cafes and eateries where you can start the day. We love brunch at Little Fern (get their Special Edition) and Can Dende (for the pancakes).
