We’re a mere stroll from the sights, so settle in before exploring everything the eclectic Scottish capital has to offer. There’s plenty of excuse to stay put, mind: with 214 rooms, a lively trattoria, a wee cinema and bundles of space for meetings and parties.

Our Neighbourhood

We love neighbourhoods serving the best of both worlds, and Haymarket ticks all the boxes; leave it to us to land somewhere central, well-connected, a mere stroll from the big hitters – West End, Princes Street, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Castle et al – but with a chill vibe a couple of streets back from the madding crowd. Perfect.

Don't be fooled by the façade of an old-fashioned barbershop on the corner of Queen Street. It leads to a hidden stairway and a secret door concealed within an old bookcase. Behind lies one of Edinburgh’s best-kept secrets: A 1920s, prohibition-style cocktail bar with fun décor and nods to a vintage barbershop theme. Check it out

Twelve Triangles

Oh hello, great bakes. The folks at Twelve Triangles believe in simple things done well: including a range of sourdoughs, pastries, jams, custards, cakes and sando's all made daily in their bakery. The emphasis is on flour milled and grown in the UK, along with slow fermentation processes and seasonal, organic produce. It has eight shops dotted around the city and the Scottish Borders, for all your bakery-related needs. Check it out

Water of Leith Walkway

A beautiful, leafy riverwalk that takes you away from the hustle of Edinburgh city centre, along a route that meanders between local spots such as Colinton Dell, the Union Canal, Saughton Winter Gardens and the Royal Botanic Garden.You can tackle various stretches along the 13-mile walkway, but we’d suggest heading to The Shore on the waterfront of Leith; an area packed with restaurants, seafood spots, wine bars & breweries. Stop along the way at Nauticus for a pint, Mistral for natural wines or Port of Leith Distillery for their delicious seasonal menu.

This place is a haven for plant-lovers. Imagine a jungle playground packed with botanicals, prints, totes and Niwaki Japanese gardening tools.
