Hox Gallery: Opening Night
A little art, a little perspective, and a lot of US.
Join us on Thursday, 15 October, from 7–9 PM as we open our latest Hox Gallery exhibition, US. The four artists will share the stories behind their work, so come by, have a drink and get to know the faces behind the art.
RSVP: iris.vandermade@thehox.com
About the exhibition:
US; humanity in all shapes and forms, seeking connection, identity and constant rebirth in order to flourish in life.
US explores the human experience through four distinct artistic perspectives. A reflection on who we are, how we see ourselves and one another, and our continuous desire to connect, evolve and start again.
Through photography, painting and contemporary visual language, Derrick Boateng, Aron Kroes, Miray Erdogdu, and Orville Zichterman each approach humanity from a different perspective; revealing identity, vulnerability, individuality and the connections that ultimately bring us together.
US is an invitation to look at humanity in all its complexity. To recognise ourselves in others, while celebrating the differences that make each of us individual.
