We roll out the welcome mat for paws and pets. Whether your pup’s a city explorer or a sofa snoozer, they’ll be right at home at The Hoxton Florence. No extra fees, no awkward rules – just cosy stays, walk-friendly neighbourhoods, and a few cheeky treats for your four-legged travel buddy.
We accept one dog per room, up to 40 lb in weight for no extra fee (unless they’re a rockstar and trash the room, of course). Sniff out all the deets for our pet-friendly rooms below.

Planning your pet-friendly route in Florence
Travelling with your dog in Florence? No problem — here’s how to get around the city, stress-free and sniff-friendly:
Public Transport: Small dogs in carriers are allowed on Florence’s buses and trams (operated by ATAF). Larger dogs can also ride but must be leashed and muzzled. Always double-check with the driver before boarding.
Taxis & Rideshares: Florence taxis often accept dogs — just mention it when booking or flagging one down. While Uber isn’t widely available, local apps like ItTaxi or APP Taxi can help arrange pet-friendly rides.
On Foot: Florence is a compact and walkable city. The Hoxton sits near wide boulevards, shady gardens, and scenic routes like Viale dei Colli, ideal for strolls with your pup.
Green Spaces: Head to nearby parks like Giardino dell’Orticoltura or Parco delle Cascine for some proper leg-stretching and tail-wagging time.
