We’d like to help our guests learn how to make better, greener choices throughout their stay with us and after. For us, that’s about putting sustainability out there physically, as well as digitally, in areas that have lots of people flowing through them day in, day out. That makes a Hox the perfect setting for getting the message out there, by adding facts, figures and actionable tips in all the right places. Besides, if it’s good for the planet it’s good to know.
Good to know!
Coming soon! As we progress through 2023, you’ll find ‘good to know’ tips, facts and figures dotted around our hotels, restaurants and event spaces – our way of supporting guests in making more sustainable choices during and after their stay. We also partner with like-minded brands that share the same ethos, and point guests and locals in the direction of neighbourhood spots doing their bit for a better future in The Good Guide. We practice what we preach and action greener, better choices on a daily basis.
At every Hoxton around the world, we give our guests a neighbourhood Survival Guide, which points them in the direction of all the best things to do, see and taste in the area. Now, we’re adding a new section for sustainability, to show our guests around the hottest, greenest places on our patch. That ranges from boutique and vintage shopping to museums and repair shops to the neighbourhood’s most loved green, organic or eco-friendly restaurants and bars. We call it The Good Guide – and you’ll find it in all our Survival Guides, as well as our lobbies.
Our DIY boards
Sat pride of place in our lobbies, every Hox has what we call a DIY Board – a spot for recommendations from our staff, who live locally, to get to know the neighbourhood. These are tips penned by the community around us and an important part of what makes us Hox. Often enough, sustainable places and things to do are just damn good places in their own right, loved by the community – this is how our guests find them.
Got a Good Idea?
Listening matters; and so does our community. Tell us how you think we could do better – we’ll hang onto every word. Any feedback or tips you give will go directly to our Brand COO, Rob, for monthly review; so you can be sure we’re paying super-close attention. Better still, we’ll roll out the best ideas globally, and tell the world it came from you.
