The Hoxton Fashion Series: Christopher Raeburn x Robert Johnston
Now that we've all settled in to 2017, we're bringing back our Hoxtown Fashion Series; showing intimate interviews with fashion's big dogs. Kicking off for 2017 we've got designer Christopher Raeburn in conversation with GQ's Fashion Director and resident Style Shrink, Robert Johnston at The Hoxton, Holborn.
Raeburn is one to keep an eye out for in the current British fashion scene. As Suzy Menkes said of him "it is Mr. Raeburn's clear vision of clothes that protect man and the planet that make him an original and exceptional designer". Known for his re-appropriation of military fabrics and iconic outerwear made from de-commissioned parachutes (nifty!), we're excited to see where he'll go next.
His recent REMADE collection pioneered the reworking of surplus fabrics and garments to create distinctive and functional pieces. This innovative approach, with an unusual balance of high concept, accessibility and wearability, is applied to menswear, womenswear, luggage and accessories. Going from his studio in the heart of East London, Christopher Raeburn is now stocked in the best stores globally and receives media coverage worldwide.
Leading the proceedings will be none other than British GQ's Fashion Director and Style Shrink, Robert Johnston.
With cocktails provided by Ciroc, this is set to be a great evening so nab your tickets ASAP!
