Marcin Glod at the Hox Gallery
When pop culture meets the old masters, even a staircase becomes a gallery.
For this edition of our Hox Gallery programme, we’re handing the walls to Vienna-based artist Marcin Glod, known as GLOD. Born in Poland and raised in Vienna, he moves easily between art, fashion and design, with projects for houses like Dior and Hugo Boss and collaborations from Red Bull to 25hours Hotels.
His works blend street art, graffiti and classical oil painting: a wine-sipping Pink Panther in Tracht, Mickey Mouse surfing across a vintage landscape, a Dior bottle in full colour, a Matisse figure under a dripping Vogue logo. Newspaper, old frames and found materials give each piece a story of its own, playful, polished and never quite what you expect.
