Romain Colin est le fondateur de Fubiz Media. Fubiz en chiffres, c’est aujourd’hui une communauté de plus de 3 millions de personnes à travers le monde, et une conférence annuelle Fubiz Talks.

Romain Colin is the founder of Fubiz Media, and a pioneer within the European creative content scene. He ascribes his success to an enthusiastic community of artists and creators who are keen to champion the independence and originality of Fubiz Media, and who have their fingers on the pulses of cultural trends and creative innovation. Today, Fubiz Media is a community of more than 3 million people worldwide, and the host of a groundbreaking annual creative conference, Fubiz Talks.

01. Did you always want to work in a creative field?

I've been totally focused on creative forces since I was a child. I visited a lot of exhibitions and travelled with my family, and I was really interested in media production - who owns what, the behind-the-scenes on how shows are made - and I love to listen to music everywhere I go. So it was logical to me that I'd enter a creative realm.

02. If you couldn't do this job, what would your Plan B be?

I'd have loved to have programmed a global music festival! But also my life could be totally different to that, too - I could be a stay-at-home father, the best job ever!

03. What's the best advice you were ever given?

No goal is unattainable if you enjoy what you do.

04. Who's been your biggest influence, and how?

Steve Jobs, for his clear influence on tech.

05. Sum up a typical working day in 5 words.

Exciting. Hard. Surprising. Fast. Creative.

By entering this competition, you agree to be contacted by email with communications relating to the Hox How To events as well as the monthly event programming at your local Hoxton.

  • The competition dates are as follows: Amsterdam/Design 19 February-22 March, Holborn/Fashion 23 March-22 April, Shoreditch/Music 23 April-31 July, Paris/Tech TBC.
  • We will select one winner per competition. The winners will be notified by email no later than 4 weeks after the competition close date.
  • We will only accept one entry per individual.
  • The prize consists of 1x breakfast meeting (Mon-Fri availability) with the industry mentor every 3 months across the duration of 12 months (4x breakfast meetings total). The breakfast will be held in the restaurant of your local Hoxton, and we’ll pick up the bill. This isn’t redeemable for a lunch or dinner meeting, and your availabilities and reservations will be managed by the team at The Hox.
  • There is no cash value equivalent prize.
  • We may follow up with you on your mentorship experience and capture audio, stills or film to showcase across our platforms and channels – by agreeing to our Terms & Conditions, you agree to this and to follow up communications and content with The Hoxton.
