Where The Hoxton, Shoreditch
When Daily
Time 5pm - late

Unbeatable Korean fried chicken, snacks and wild cocktails from OH GEE.

OH GEE is a new pop-up featuring award-winning Korean Fried Chicken from Chef Byung Tae Ahn – founder of New Jersey restaurant 101 Chicken, and Grand Champion of the Netflix hit show K-Chicken War in 2022. OH GEE’s menu is centred around 101 Chicken’s championship-winning fried chicken, with an extra crunchy exterior and sweet, spicy glaze, Available with a choice of three coatings: original, hot pepper, or the award-winning potato crisp, which saw Chef Anh crowned K-Chicken champion.

The menu serves up fried chicken sandwiches, an unmissable black bean pot noodle with American cheddar and kimchi fried egg, Galbi-jjim beef shin lasagne and the smashburger with kimchi ragu. It’s not all about chicken, however! There are small snacks (anju) to start, like bibim guksu, spicy cold noodles, with chili sauce, house pickles and sesame; and ddukbokki, Korean rice rolls in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce.

Groups of four can go for Family Style, a big bucket of two whole fried chickens, plus four sides, two sauces, and two anju

To drink there’s classic Korean sool such as makgeolli (rice wine) and soju, plus a big line up of original OTT cocktails. To get things started there’s Poktan-ju, a Korean staple involving a shot of soju dropped into HITE lager, plus a Super Poktan-ju – peach soju in champagne. Going big? Sharing cocktails include the Watermelon Sugar – JINRO Chamisul strawberry, watermelon, champagne – served in a light-up cocktail tower for four people; and the 3x Spicy Marg, a mix of Patron Silver, JINRO Chamisul peach, gochujang, lime, and agave, served flaming hot from a toy fire extinguisher.
