Throughout the month of June, we’re celebrating Pride with coffee cups and mugs designed by lettering legend, Kyle Letendre in Williamsburg and Chicago, and color mastermind, Arielle Wilkins in Portland and Downtown LA. What’s more, 10% of all coffee sales and all mug sale proceeds will go to our local LGBTQIA+ organizations we’ve been proud to support over the years. As always, All Are Welcome at The Hox.
Kyle Letendre is a lettering artist, type designer, illustrator, and human disco ball. Born and raised in Minnesota, they became obsessed with the expressive qualities of letterforms from a young age. Their work explores themes of queerness, otherness and social justice; design is nothing if not a conduit to talk about the things that matter.
Arielle Wilkins is an artist / designer who was raised in the heart of Texas. Inspired by her father’s performing arts background, she quickly immersed herself in music and naturally visual arts. Color, creativity and Black pride intertwine in the magical mystery ride that is within Arielle’s art. Arielle’s work is meant to prompt a wide spectrum of untapped exposure and celebration of Black culture. The evolution of the modern woman and man, curls and bountiful afros on deck.
