Abstract Art Workshop with Artist Laura Wickstead

An evening of mindful painting over a glass of wine. Learn how to mix paint and build shapes to create an abstract artwork.

Join Artist, Laura Wickstead, in our West London lobby for an evening of painting.

In this workshop, Laura will explain how she creates her shape study artworks and mixes paint in order to build an abstract piece of art. You will be provided with a 30cm x 30cm canvas, which you can either create your own abstract design, or templates will be available. Laura will also be on hand to help guide you throughout the evening.

The aim of the workshop is to play with paint and to see how shapes, colours and techniques can be combined to produce a piece of art.

7pm – Arrival | 7.30pm – Workshop begins

All materials will be provided, including a box so you can take home your new artwork.

Laura is a professional artist working in London. Her work is calm shape studies in a soft colour palette. She has provided artwork for numerous residential and commercial projects including a wall mural at The Hoxton Hotel in Holborn and prints for the guest-rooms in their new Shepherds Bush hotel. Her work has also been in The Savoy hotel and been featured in Soho Home, Elle Decoration and Homes & Gardens magazine.
