About us…

Just like our doors, our minds are open too. Since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, London in 2006, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that, providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighborhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces. Then there's our eclectic program of monthly events where we bring the outside in, working with local creatives to curate events unique to each location.

We proved that style didn’t need to be sacrificed for value and honest pricing is still very much at the heart of everything we do. We opened our second London hotel in 2014, followed by Amsterdam in 2015, Paris in 2017 and Williamsburg, Portland, Los Angeles, and Chicago all coming soon. Each hotel has its own character; however you’ll find the familiar Hoxton Hustle, incorporating the uniqueness of their neighborhoods using local designers, artists, and illustrators for everything from interiors to wallpaper, art and neighborhood guides.

The Hoxton, Portland will be situated in an iconic building with an incredible history dating back to 1906. Located in Portland’s Old Town Chinatown, The Hoxton, Portland will have vibrant, welcoming public spaces providing a place where guests can hangout alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighborhood, 113 bedrooms, a rooftop restaurant and basement bar.

The details…

  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan, in conjunction with the Revenue Team and VP of Sales for North America to source, drive and grow revenue across all segments. Constantly monitor results and adjust strategies and activities to ensure objectives and targets are achieved.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing portfolio of accounts, taking the lead on rate negotiations and account management activities while ensuring we maximize our market share
  • Plan and manage the RFP season and rate negotiations for The Hoxton, Portland, liaising with the Revenue Management team and VP of Sales
  • Drive new business prospecting activities for The Hoxton, Portland across all segments. Ensure local actions are in place to research and identify opportunities for new business in line with hotel’s strategies.
  • Monitor conversion rate of Group and M&E inquiries and implement actions where necessary to increase conversion
  • Represent The Hoxton, Portland at relevant industry networking events and organize client entertainment, show rounds, familiarization trips and sales trips to ensure sales targets are met
  • Support with pre-opening sales strategies for new openings

About you...

  • You have at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in a senior sales role, preferably in a Portland hotel.
  • You are passionate about Hotel sales and are goal driven.
  • You function well in a fast-paced environment and enjoy a challenge.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail
  • You get us. You know our hotels, maybe you’ve hung out in our bars and possibly regretted that last cocktail the next morning.
  • Your glass is half full, always
  • You'll contribute to the hospitality industry by being involved in local committees, championing career development or attending networking events.
