We are currently recruiting for a Hox House Host, to join us here at Hox House (our head office) New York.

Reporting directly to our Special Projects Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating administration duties and office procedures, whilst creating and maintaining a friendly working environment. 

About us...

Ennismore is a London based owner and developer of hospitality properties and experiences around the world. Part developer, part operator and part creative studio. We started doing things differently on the East London scene back in 2006 when we opened The Hoxton, Shoreditch. The second Hox opened in Holborn in 2014, followed by The Hoxton, Amsterdam in July 2015 and now The Hoxton, Paris in August 2017. As well as crafting the global expansion of The Hoxton from one hotel to many, Ennismore is building on the legacy of the Scottish landmark Gleneagles, launching several standalone restaurant concepts, and challenging the status quo of low cost accommodation with the launch of new budget hotel brand NoCo.

We don't go for strict long winded job descriptions; however, here's an idea of how we see the role...

  • Be the first smile our visitors see when they rock up at Hox House. You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting all visitors and hooking them up with a bevy of their choice.
  • You’ll be all over the phones, transferring the right calls to the right people.
  • You'll be taking reservations calls and emails to help with guest inquiries and sales leads
  • You’ll be the gatekeeper of the meeting room(s) calendar.
  • Keeping it clean. You’ll coordinate the cleaners and maintenance teams to ensure everything’s not only spic and span, but in working order and complies with the rules of Health & Safety.
  • You’ll love getting involved in lending a hand at some of the Hoxton’s bonkers events and pop ups.
  • What time is it in the UK, Paris and Hong Kong? You know ‘cos you’ll be on the horn to Hox colleagues far and wide.
  • You know one end of a HDMI, DVI, and USB from another and can help the rest of us who don’t.
  • You’re up for learning the ropes in our reservations team to lend a hand when the going gets tough.
  • Postman Pat. That’s your alter ego – managing the incoming & outgoing mail is your bag.
  • You love getting those receipts in order. Time of the month for expenses – bring it on.
  • We hate running out of pencils and teabags. You’ll be all over the stationary order to ensure the kitchen is well stocked and we don’t have a stationary emergency
  • You love lists. Internal phone lists, skype lists, birthday lists, contact lists, key fob lists, lists, lists, lists, you love ‘em.
  • We’re a bunch of social butterflies at The Hox. We’ll look to you to organize our get together’s, big and small.
  • You’ll role model The Hoxton’s values and behaviors, because that’s who you are.

 Likely Background

  • You’ll have at least 1-2 years of administrative experience in any industry anywhere.
