We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of PR & Communications to join the opening team at The Hoxton, Williamsburg. In your role you will be responsible for securing a wide range of coverage across different media, creating interesting and attractive content for all Hoxton social media channels and contributing to the internal comms strategy.

Featuring 175 bedrooms, The Hoxton, Williamsburg is due to open in early 2017 and is situated on Wythe Avenue on the original site of the Rosenwach factory, makers of the iconic wooden water towers dotted along the skyline of New York City.

The Hoxton, Williamsburg will very much be part of its neighbourhood, featuring a vibrant public area, restaurant, terrace bar and roof deck run by Soho House & Co, The Apartment, our events and meeting space, and Hoxtown, our eclectic programme of monthly events.

About you...

  • You have at least 3 years PR experience - working in hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • You have a set of media contacts with whom you already have established working relationships.
  • You know how to write. Copy writing skills are essential to this role.
  • You have a passion for hospitality and a thirst for knowledge. You want to keep on learning.
  • Social media skills are essential. Even if you’ve just nailed your own profiles. We’d like to see examples.
  • You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty. Whether it’s saving coverage or filling in a media form.
  • You’ll live and breathe each of The Hoxton’s senior leader behaviours.
  • If we get stuck in a lift with you – we’ll get along nicely and have a laugh along the way.
  • You’re approachable and know the importance of relationships, both external and internal.
