Purpose             The Director of Revenue, North America will be responsible for creating and implementing Ennismore’s revenue strategy for all US properties, which currently consist of projects in Williamsburg, Los Angeles and Chicago. You will ensure that we maximize rooms’ revenue through the management of room inventory, market mix and pricing strategy. You will be responsible for data analysis and ensuring that inventory and pricing are positioned to support the revenue goals for each hotel. Additionally, you will assist in ensuring that our current systems and processes meet group requirements, and are adjusted appropriately for the US business to support our forecasted growth.

 

You will report directly to the Director of North America. The role will be based at Hox House NYC.

 

The Details

Examples of responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Effectively incorporate the revenue management philosophy in all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations
  • Prepare annual hotel revenue budget and maintain ongoing results analysis
  • Prepare monthly forecast with a daily breakdown of occupancy/rate and market segment mix and maintains ongoing results analysis
  • Research, identify and develop revenue management opportunities, techniques and practices that contribute to RevPar growth and market share increases
  • Choose external distribution partners to provide desired exposure to travel agents and potential guests. Negotiate agreements with travel agents and travel websites. 
  • Choose internal distribution partners to provide efficient booking. Execute new packages, rates and special programs such as email promotions in collaboration with the Director of Sales and General Manager.
  • Continually monitor segment booking pace to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed property performance history (by market segment, rate, room type, etc).
  • Analyze marketplace reports such as STR and other marketplace measurement tools and present the revenue opportunities in the analysis
  • Identify and report on trends (i.e. pace, group pace, booking window, booking channel, etc.).
  • Monitor competitors’ products and revenue management practices. Also monitor new hotel development and local market demand generators.
  • Chair the Revenue Meeting to share reporting, forecasting and competitor intelligence with the group
  • Oversee channel management including rate loading and inventory management.
  • Responsible for Revenue Management System. Responsible for forecast validation and daily interaction with system and the decisions produced, configuration and maintenance tasks related to the system.
  • Oversee and mentor Revenue Manager. Reservations Manager, and Reservations Team
  • Partner with European counterpart to ensure alignment in policy and strategy

About You

  • You must be technically skilled with a strong understanding of systems and hotel operations
  • You have at least five years’ experience in hotel Revenue Management
  • You can take ownership of important issues, solve problems and make effective decisions
  • You have a methodical and process-driven approach to tasks, but are also able to work flexibly and calmly to meet deadlines
  • You have experience with hotel openings
  • You can work positively and collaboratively to achieve the highest standards of delivery at work
  • You will learn quickly and adapt to The Hoxton’s unique culture
  • You’ll live and breathe each of The Hoxton’s leadership behaviors
