Head of Corporate Sales

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Corporate Sales to join us here at The Hoxton.

Reporting to our Director of Sales UK & Europe, Elaine you will be responsible for driving corporate room nights from UK & mainland Europe feeder markets into Hoxton Hotels globally. 

We don’t go in for strict job descriptions, we all like to get mucked in, however in your role as Head of Corporate Sales you will be responsible to:

  • Responsible for driving corporate room nights from UK & mainland Europe feeder markets into Hoxton Hotels globally, in line with each hotel’s strategies and budgets.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan to source, drive and grow corporate business.
  • Responsible for managing a pre-assigned portfolio of accounts, taking the lead on rate negotiations and account management activities whilst ensuring we maximise our market share.
  • Work in conjunction with the Revenue Team to set corporate strategies for each property in our portfolio.
  • Plan and manage the RFP season and rate negotiations across our portfolio of Hotels liaising with our Revenue Management team and each property’s Head of Sales where necessary.
  • Drive new business prospecting activities across the corporate segment - research and identify opportunities for new corporate business in line with each hotels budget.
  • Maintain an excellent level of knowledge of the local marketplace in each Hoxton location.
  • Responsible for ensuring Agency 360 reports are utilised to review market penetration, grow market share from account base and look for new business opportunities.
  • Represent Hoxton Hotels at relevant industry networking events and organise client entertainment, show rounds and familiarization trips across our portfolio of hotels.
  • Manage the corporate and consortia rate loading process to ensure rate loading accuracy and that rates are loaded and bookable by given deadlines.
  • Responsible for ensuring pre-opening sales strategies are in place for all new Hoxton Hotel openings to deliver upon corporate revenue budgets.
  • Complete all reporting within given deadlines – as requested by Director of Sales, UK & Europe.
  • Manage one direct report, our Corporate Sales Manager.
  • Complete all other duties, tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Sales, UK & Europe.

Likely Background…

  • You have a proven track record and at least 4 years’ experience within a corporate sales environment
  • You will have multi property experience and have a little black book of Corporate Travel Managers, Agents, bookers and TMCs that you can tap into.
  • Passionate about Hotel sales and goal driven
  • Functions best in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a challenge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Efficient in using Microsoft office and experience using Opera, Lanyon and other RFP tools would be an advantage
