Group Finance Manager

We’re looking for a Group Finance Manager to join the team responsible for The Hoxton and Gleneagles groups corporate entities. Reporting into the Group Finance Controller, the role involves owning the accounting and treasury functions of the corporate entities as well as improving the groups’ governance.

 

What you’ll do…

 

  • Oversee and review monthly management accounts & budgets/forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow statements and balance sheet reconciliations) for corporate entities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and be the main point of contact for queries from auditors
  • Be the key point of contact for external financiers, supporting treasury functions; including responsibility for preparing covenant reporting
  • Prepare monthly cash funding reporting and draw notices with supporting documentation
  • Forecast and prepare distributions for the Group, including calculation of distributable reserves
  • Prepare & file VAT returns and support external preparation for CT
  • Support implementation and monitoring of appropriate governance for the Group
  • Help the investments team to set up accounting and treasury functions for new entities/deals. This will include financial and management reporting for both the initial set up and future reporting, bank accounts, and VAT and other tax registrations
  • Lead your team by example, taking an active hand in their development and creating a positive team culture

 

What we’re looking for…

 

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified
  • Previous experience as a financial management accountant, particularly in journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Technical proficiency in UK GAAP and IFRS, experience and knowledge of VAT
  • Someone who is always proactively looking for ways to improve governance & ways of working
  • A strong relationship builder, with experience working closely with legal and tax teams
  • A confident communicator, who can ‘translate’ financial information to non-finance people
