Events Operations Manager

The Hoxton, Ennismore Sessions House | London

We are looking for an Events Operations Manager to join our team and take the lead on overseeing the full and successful use of the entire ground floor of Ennismore Sessions House (our gorgeous London Head Office). It’s a creative, multifunctional, shared working, meeting & events space, for use by our partners and of course ourselves.
You’d have full responsibility for the smooth running of day & evening functions, making sure the clients that use our space have a brilliant experience.
The Ennismore Sessions House events space still has lots of room to grow and we’re looking for an experienced hand, who relishes the opportunity to improve what we do and add their flavour to our plans. There’s potential for this role to take on overall leadership of Event Management across our London properties further down the line.
What you’ll do…
• Manage day & evening events, working within the strategy and events programme set by our Sales and Meeting & Events teams
• Pro-actively provide input and feedback, look for opportunities to improve & innovate how we’re using the space and how we manage it
• Whether it’s setting up the space for day or evening, handling ad-hoc requests and queries, dealing with invoices or gathering feedback – we rely on you to ensure internal and external customers have the best possible experience with us
• Manage a lean team, creating an environment where they feel valued, and provide them with opportunities to grow and develop
• Handle stock & expenses and manage the relationship with our events suppliers & contractors
• Take overall responsibility for the health & safety of anyone using the area, including yourself
• Provide a secure environment for customers and their property
What we’re looking for…
• Previous experience in managing an events space, ideally in hospitality or leisure
• Having used Micro Fidelio Opera or a similar front desk operating system would be a big advantage
• Fantastic customer service is at the heart of your approach; you're imaginative when it comes to creating experiences
• Keen to take ownership of and pride in your work, a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to seeing work through and delivering results
• A natural people leader, you create an atmosphere where people can be productive and enjoy what they do
• Highly organised and detail orientated, someone you can rely on to know the answers, or where to find them
• Enthusiastic, confident and warm, you want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun with it along the way
