Head of Membership Sales

We’re launching our own version of coworking and are looking for a Membership Sales Manager to play a crucial role in the success of this new concept! If you get a kick out of surpassing goals and achieving results, then this is the gig for you.

We have always done coworking...Since 2006 The Hoxton has been home to laptop savvy workers making use of super-fast Wi-Fi and comfy sofas as they hustle away in a place that feels like home. So, it feels only natural for us to take our love for great experiences and create a space that offers everything you need to do your (other) day job or take over the world, in our stylish and comfortable surroundings.

Our first coworking site will be part of The Hoxton, Chicago, set to open this Fall. There’ll be something for everyone. Think hot-desking, open studios, dedicated offices, events & wellness spaces, a member café & bar and a stimulating events program.

What you’ll do…

  • Drive and spearhead initiatives to achieve the targets set for membership growth, month on month.
  • Comfortably lead a team that consistently achieve sales goals while also demonstrating genuine hospitality by helping our members, embracing our family, showing attention to detail and delivering genuine hospitality.
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Membership Sales team. Including; owning the sales pipeline and maintaining our CRM, attending and holding regular meetings, creating all reports required to manage your department.
  • Respond to incoming membership enquires for membership in lightning speed!
  • Conceptualize, direct and control membership acquisition strategies and programmes to recruit targeted industries.
  • Work across all departments including the Hoxton Sales Team, digital, marketing and brand teams to execute on strategies effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with the Broker community and organise regular events to engage.
  • Work beside Head Office sales to realise annual growth and revenue targets.
  • Manage local membership initiatives within annual membership budget.
  • Engage with locals in creative fields; attend cultural and social events to develop knowledge, deepen contacts, and build brand awareness.

To infinity and beyond…

  • Build a Membership base which reflects the brand and the diverse community in Chicago, and beyond. Recruit and retain appropriate creative entrepreneurs, SME’s for membership.
  • Be present and available well beyond the sale; assist with move-ins, continually assess membership along with Engagement Manager to ensure relevant industries are well represented within the space, and that the House remains at comfortable capacity.
  • Collect and respond to feedback from members and work across all departments to ensure member satisfaction.

  • A giver; you like helping people. You get a kick out of getting people to those aha! You are patient, level headed, and cool under pressure. Helping someone makes you feel warm and all fuzzy inside.
  • You love a good excel sheet, you can’t help but write everything down. You pay attention to the details. As far as you’re concerned anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You stay focused, and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
  • You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
  • You communicate clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone.
  • You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You keep knocking on doors well after others give-up. You’re going to take ownership of the time you spend with us and truly make a difference.
  • You believe in sending the elevator back down.
