Young Collectors Circle: Inspiration
When it comes to curating your own art collection, there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration. From fiscal responsibility and artist recognition to personal representation and overall feel, it can be hard to jump into collecting – certainly without a bit of fear. The Young Collectors Circle curates salons around town with the goal of removing any fear from the equation by equipping young collectors, and those who have been collecting for any amount of time, with all the information they might need to make the right decisions for them when purchasing art, from a variety of sources.
This time around, they're tackling one of the more intangible components of art curation: inspiration. With guest Anne Geene, a young artist who recently won the VK art prize, the speakers will be discussing where to find inspiration both before you begin your collection and once you've gotten it going. With some booze and bites on the side, you'll walk out feeling confident that you'll be able to create a unique, personal and intelligent collection of your own.
