BLOKflex & Dynamic Vinyasa
We've brought in our neighbours, BLOK, to The Hoxton, Shoreditch to show us a thing or to about how exercise is REALLY done. These guys have recently opened a second studio in Shoreditch so there's double the BLOK for you to try. If you live east there's no excuses now!
They'll be heading in to teach two of their classes on the same night (if you manage both then well done, you're officially superhuman). First up, BLOKflex, a hybrid class that focuses on the integrated body - improving flexibility to maximise strength. The class will be taught by Ali Bracher and will be split 50/50 HIIT and stretch. The session will start with a 30- minute high intensity, high impact workout and once your muscles are warm, you'll take it to the floor for a juicy 30-minute static stretch. This is very much a developmental class and you can expect to improve cardio fitness, strength and flexibility week by week.
Next up, a Dynamic Vinyasa class (and breathe). Hannah Almond will synchronise breath to the movement of your body throughout the class, creating a dynamic flowing practise that will give you a good work out whilst opening and releasing your body. It's a challenging one but it's open to all levels.
