Art as Therapy w/Society6 and Skid Row Carnival of Love

The Hoxton, Downtown LA, 1060 S Broadway, Los Angeles
FREE w/RSVP

There’s no mistaking art’s positive effect on your mental health — no matter your artistic skill, social class, race or gender. Join us for a discussion on the importance of art for everyone. Art therapist Lynell Weiss will walk us through the ins and outs of this creative and healing avenue of self-expression. And we'll introduce our latest project — an online shop by Society6The Hoxton and Skid Row Carnival of Love that creates equal access to art for everyone.

The annual Skid Row Carnival of Love (SRCOL) is the largest event of its kind, serving 4,000 people experiencing homelessness in and around downtown Los Angeles. Powered entirely by volunteers, the Carnival provides vital resources like health checks, haircuts and ID cards alongside music, entertainment, balloons and an art zone in a 20,000 square-foot block party.
