Motel Bodega is the joyfully nostalgic world created by Megan Burmeister. After a decade in the fashion industry, Megan found herself with boxes of beautiful fabric scraps, sparking her interest in quilting.

Inspired by her vibrant South African childhood and American road trips as an adult, her work reflects influences from ‘70s California, folk art, and Durban township graphics. She sews and hand-frames each piece in her Amsterdam studio, with a strong commitment to minimizing waste.
